2023: Ede Dafinone Wins APC Senatorial Ticket For Delta Central

Renowned accountant and industrialist, Chief Ede Dafinone, has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for Delta Central Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections.

Dafinone, who was unopposed in the election, polled 383 votes to emerged candidate of the party for the senatorial election.

He will now face Senator Ighoyota Amori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the general elections.

387 delegates were accredited for the primary election held at the Ughelli Kingdom Hall in Ughelli, Delta State.

Declaring the results, chairman of the electoral panel, Mr Prince Eke, said four votes were voided.

Addressing newsmen after being declared the winner, Chief Dafinone thanked the delegates and the leadership of APC for choosing him as the flagbearer of the party in Delta Central.

He stated that he was confident that the party will win the senatorial seat in the forthcoming general elections.

“Today mark the beginning of a journey. A journey towards a victory for our party in Delta State. A victory for APC for the President, Governor, Senate and the House of Assembly.

“I want to assure you that are here today that I will do my best to ensure that we return all APC candidates reelected in 2023”, Dafinone added.
