Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Orhue I, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), CFR, mni, on the 20th anniversary of his coronation, describing the monarch’s reign as one marked by peace, unity and remarkable development.
In a goodwill message, Dafinone said the two-decade reign of the revered traditional ruler stands as a testament to visionary leadership, dedication to the progress of Okpe Kingdom and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.
The senator, who spoke on behalf of the Dafinone family, the people of Delta Central Senatorial District and the entire Urhobo Nation, said the monarch had strengthened traditional institutions, promoted political and economic development, and elevated the status of Okpe Kingdom within and beyond Delta State.
According to him, the Orodje’s leadership has brought lasting peace, harmony and stability to the kingdom while fostering unity among the people and attracting meaningful development.
“This remarkable milestone is not only a celebration of two decades of purposeful and visionary traditional leadership but also a testament to God’s faithfulness and Your Majesty’s unwavering commitment to the unity, progress and prosperity of the Okpe Kingdom,” Dafinone said.
He noted that under the monarch’s reign, Okpe Kingdom had witnessed significant economic and political advancement, while its influence in national affairs continued to grow.
“As Your Majesty celebrates this historic anniversary, we join sons and daughters of Okpe Kingdom, the Urhobo Nation and well-wishers across Nigeria in thanking Almighty God for preserving and blessing your reign,” he added.
Dafinone prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the monarch, asking for good health, wisdom and strength to enable him to continue leading the kingdom with justice, compassion and dignity.
He also expressed hope that the Orodje’s reign would remain a symbol of peace, cultural pride and sustainable development for generations to come.
