Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Cross 7000 As Confirmed Cases In Edo, Delta Rise

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says the country now has 7016 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.

It said 339 of the cases were recorded on Thursday across the country.

According to the figures releases on its Twitter handle on Thursday, the disease control body said about 2000 patients have been discharged while 211 deaths have been recorded.

Lagos State continue to top the list with over 3000 confirmed cases while in the Niger Delta region, Edo State lead with 144 cases.

NCDC noted that of the 339 cases recorded on Thursday, Lagos State had 139 cases, followed by Kano, Oyo and Edo States which recorded 28, 28 and 25 respectively.
