The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, has congratulated the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom, His Majesty, King Monday Obukowho Whiskey, Udurhe I, as he marks his 5th Coronation anniversary, which coincides with his 60th birthday.
In a goodwill message jointly signed by the Chairman, Victor Okpomor, and Secretary, Edeki Igafe, the chapel described the monarch’s five-year reign as impactful, peaceful and development-driven, noting that Idjerhe Kingdom has enjoyed unprecedented unity under his leadership.
According to the NUJ, the reign of Udurhe I has ushered in immeasurable peace, stability and progress, with positive impacts extending beyond Idjerhe Kingdom.
“Your Majesty, the impacts of your reign have transcended Idjerhe Kingdom and are still counting,” the statement said.
The journalists’ body also commended the monarch for his consistent support, moral backing and invaluable counsel to the Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, stressing that such gestures have not gone unnoticed.
The NUJ prayed for divine wisdom, strength and good health for the royal father as he continues to steer the affairs of the kingdom, expressing confidence that Idjerhe Kingdom will reach greater and enviable heights under his reign.
“As you mark your 5th Coronation anniversary and 60th birthday, may your reign continue to deliver incredible blessings to Idjerhe Kingdom,” the statement added.
