The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has commended the old students of the Government College, Ughelli, Delta State for their passion towards the infrastructural development of their alma mater.
He, however, called on members of the body to approach his office with bills that are capable engendering the nation’s development and peace for onward presentation to the National Assembly for possible deliberation and passage.
According to a statement on Friday by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Deputy Senate President, Mr Yomi Odunuga, Senator Omo-Agege when the national leadership of Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association (GCUOBA) visited him in Abuja on Friday.

The lawmaker pledged his continued commitment to the development of the school and the body.
“Government College, Ughelli (GCU) is a renowned institution. For that reason, any assistance that I can provide by virtue of this office, please count on it. I will not hesitate to provide such if it is within my powers.
“In the National Assembly, you have a representative here in me. If you have things of interest like a piece of legislation that you want to advance, you can always count on me to help push that”, Omo-Agege said.
Earlier, the National President of GCUOBA, Architect Charles Majoroh, whiel congratulating on his election as Deputy President of the Senate, thanked him for appointing members of the body as some his aides.
Majoroh, while assuring the Delta Central senator of the body’s support, added they were at his office to officially invite him to the Association’s Annual Dinner coming up in Abuja this weekend.
