Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested two suspected internet fraudsters otherwise known as ‘Yahoo Boys’ in Sapele Town, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.

The suspects were apprehended by operatives of the commission attached to the Benin Zonal Office of the anti-graft agency.

The suspects, Ochuko Okikifo, 24-year-old, and Kind ThankGod, 34-year-old, were nabbed on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

EFCC also confirmed the arrest of the suspects in a statement issued by the Media Unit of the anti-corruption on Friday.

The confirming statement disclosed that the suspects were arrested in an early morning raid at their apartment in the ancient town of Sapele.

“Their arrest was triggered by information gathered by operatives of the Commission”, the statement added.

It added, “Different types of cell phones were recovered from the suspects at the point of arrest. They have confessed to be involved in love scam. They will be charged to court soon.
