Police in Ebonyi state has arrested the man who reportedly Killed 8 persons on Monday in Onyikwa  Nkaleke, Ozibo community in Ebonyi local government area of Ebonyi state .

The suspected mad man whose name was given as Mr. Ugbala Simon was arrested on Wednesday morning after several attempt from the community youths to arrest him.

The suspect is now at Federal teaching hospital (FETHA 2) Abakaliki.

Police public relations officer ASP Odah Lovett who confirmed the arrest said that the man has been subjected to medical extermination to confirm if he is actually mentally ill.

” Thee man has been arrested and is been arrested and has been subjected to medical extermination. Police is waiting for the medical result as that will determine the next action to take”.

Odah expressed sadness over the wonton killing and urged Ebonyi residents to always inform the police if there is any security threat in their locality pointing that security is every mans business.

The 35 years old Simon had on Monday kill his wife, and his 2 children, 3 members of the family and ambushed two school children on Tuesday and killed them.

The serial killer also killed his neighbours cow in the farm.

It took police intervention to arrest him after he subjected onyekwa people to fear.

Mrs Ndidi Nwoba , One of the villagers whose father and his two brothers were killed pleaded with the government to provide more security to their village.

Ndidi who was crying while speaking with Journalists said the Simon was under Shrine that was brought into their home by Simon’s father.

She said that the shrine is protesting that it has been abounded by the forefathers

Four others he also attacked are currently in critical condition at Accident and Emergency unit of Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki(FETHA).
