Tinubu’s Policies Will Yield Positive Results Soon – Industrialist, Chief Olori Assures Nigerians

Elder statesman and Nigerian notable businessman, Olorogun Morrison Olori, has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the administration of President Bola Tinubu in his quest to address the current hardship in the country.

Olori also stated that policies being initiated by the current administration are geared towards pulling Nigerians out of poverty, adding that such policies will start yielding results in no distant time.

The popular investor also called on President Tinubu to lift all import duties on food items in the country until local food production is improved.

He made the appeal on Tuesday while addressing journalists in the ancient city of Ughelli, Delta State.

Olori, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly said the recent foreign trips by President Tinubu to China and other countries will attract foreign investments into the country.

The industrialist disclosed that many foreign investors are already in the country to invest, noting that such investments will soon start manifesting with the employment of many Nigerians and improve production.

“As regarding the situation in this country, President Bola Tinubu is trying his best. Since he became President, he has been working hard to turnaround things for the betterment of this country and improve the economy. He has been doing so much to ensure industries work again. He has been inviting investors to invest in the land.

“He has gone to many countries of the world and invited them to come and invest in Nigeria which we the industrialists want in this country. On that, he is pushing the manufacturers to employ labour. Private industries are the highest employers of labour. Tinubu is aware of this fact, thus, he is doing all he can to bring in investors and boost manufacturing.

“From what I have observed, Mr. President is on the right track with his policies. Nigerians will soon start seeing the results of these policies when production is increased and when many people are taken out of the unemployment market. He should be commended for this. Nigerians should be patient with President Tinubu. With what I am seeing and know, investors are already in the country to invest and we local investors are partnering”, he claimed.

Speaking on the removal of fuel subsidy, Olorogun Olori stated that with the commencement of production by Dangote Refinery and completion of repair works on the Warri and Port Harcourt Refineries,  the current scarcity and hike in fuel will gradually be regularised and reduced.

Olorogun Olori added, “The fuel price will definitely come down with the coming on stream of Dangote Refinery. The government refineries that stopped working because of corruption by previous administrations are set for production.

“The pump price will come down gradually. President Tinubu is sincere and will not inflict Nigerians with hardship. There is no need for protest. Nigerians should support President Tinubu’s quest to revamp the economy. There are criminal elements who want their usual corrupt fuel subsidy to continue.”

While speaking on boosting food production in the country, the elder statesman added, “Mr President should import food to the country. He should allow food importation for now. Nigerians are hungry. This will help regularise or crash down the prices of food items in the country because farmers are trying to use the opportunity to hike food prices arbitrarily.”
