Oyovwi, a UK trained engineer and investment expert, said Olorogun Edevbie is the most qualified and experienced aspirant to succeed Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the forthcoming election.

He admonished the delegates to guard against personal sentiment while casting their votes during the primary of the PDP to choose the flagbearer of the party for the 2023 polls.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ughievwen-born politician said Edevbie remained the only governorship aspirant who has a well developed plans to industrialize and develop the state.

According to Oyovwi, “For instance, Olorogun Edevbie is the only aspirant that has so far come up with a blueprint plan for the modernization and industrialization of Delta State with the willingness to transform the state for the good of everyone.

“We have to move away from old ways of doing things that has almost always yielded poor results at best. Olorogun David Edevbie is a neoteric who advocates new ideas, and is well abreast with modern day development. Every sane society needs a decent and capable leader for a better future.

“Olorogun Edevbie has consistently showed decency with ethical conducts for public good. Olorogun Edevbie is a credible leader with integrity and possesses the intellectual capacity for good governance.

“We cannot afford to have someone with unseemly character to lead the State at this moment that Deltans are yearning for infrastructural development and modernization. We need Olorogun David Edevbie now for efficiency and effectiveness of services to all Deltans.”

“I therefore call on the delegates to vote for Olorogun David Edevbie being the best choice amongst the aspirants. Edevbie is willing to transform the state for the good of all Deltans.”
