Mr. Steve Rodstick Eze, Head of Electronics Media and Production of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship Campaign Organization in Ebonyi State, has resigned.

Eze’s resignation is coming barely 24 hours to the Presidential/ National Assembly election nationwide.

Moment after resigning his position, the former APC chieftain defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

While renouncing his membership of the APC, Eze, however, promised to help Gov David Umahi of Ebonyi State actualize his second term ambition.

WARRI TODAY gathered Eze tendered his resignation to the Senator Sunny Ogbuoji’s Campaign Organization on Thursday February 14th, 2019.

Addressing newsmen in Abakaliki, he explained that he decided to resign from his position as Head of Electronics Media and Production, after considering the tremendous achievements of the present PDP-led government in the state.

He further alleged that APC is fomenting troubles and violence in the state in the course of carrying out their campaign. He however promised to mobilize youths to vote for the PDP governor.

Eze noted, “I do not believe in violence in election as Ogbuorji Campaign Organization believes. I have the firm believe that we are one in Ebonyi State and must not kill each other to achieve electoral success.

“After considering the foregoing and due consultations with my teeming fans and supporters numbering over 10,000 vibrant youths across the state, I wish to declare my unalloyed support and loyalty to Governor David Umahi who has not only made Ebonyians proud in governance but also given Ebonyi state a place of pride in Nigeria and indeed Africa.

“I want to use this medium to assure the Governor that we will mop up votes for him and also advise all the few people remaining with Ogbuorji and APC to quickly retrace their steps as that camp are obviously heading for failure and destruction.”
