Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has expressed gratitude to his constituents for their support over the past three years, reaffirming his commitment to delivering effective representation and driving development across the district.
Dafinone stated this on Friday as he marked his third anniversary in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The lawmaker thanked traditional rulers, community leaders, party faithful, youth and women groups, as well as residents of Delta Central, for the confidence reposed in him since his inauguration.
“Today marks three years since I was sworn in as the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I remain profoundly grateful for that trust and for the steadfast support, prayers, and encouragement of our traditional institutions, community leaders, party faithful, youth and women groups, and the good people of Delta Central,” he said.
Dafinone noted that his tenure had been focused on providing effective representation, amplifying the voices of the people in national discourse and pursuing policies aimed at improving the welfare of constituents.
According to him, while notable progress has been recorded, the prevailing economic realities facing many Nigerians underscore the need for sustained leadership and commitment to development.
“Over the past three years, I have remained committed to providing effective representation, giving our people a strong voice in national affairs, and advancing policies and initiatives that promote development and opportunity across our district.
“While we have made meaningful progress, I am mindful of the economic challenges many families and businesses continue to face. These realities reinforce the need for sustained effort and purposeful leadership,” he stated.
The senator said his priorities in the coming years would include expanding economic opportunities, promoting education and skills acquisition, advocating critical infrastructure projects and supporting initiatives capable of accelerating development in Delta Central.
“As we move forward, my focus remains on expanding economic opportunities, supporting education and skills development, advocating critical infrastructure, and championing initiatives that will strengthen Delta Central and contribute to Nigeria’s long-term growth and prosperity,” he said.
Dafinone described the anniversary as an opportunity to renew his commitment to public service, assuring constituents that he would continue to pursue their interests with diligence and integrity.
“This anniversary is not merely a moment of reflection but a reaffirmation of my commitment to serve with diligence, integrity, and purpose. I remain dedicated to justifying the confidence reposed in me and to advancing the interests of the people of Delta Central,” he added.
The senator also thanked the people of Delta Central for the privilege of representing them in the National Assembly and pledged to continue working towards a more prosperous future for the district.
“I sincerely thank the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District for the privilege of serving them. I look forward to building a stronger and more prosperous future together,” Dafinone said.
