President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, and sworn-in Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed in acting capacity.

The President’s Special Assistant on New Media, Mr Bashir Ahmad, announced the development on his verified twitter handle on Friday.

In his place, Ahmad said Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed, was named by the President.
