Elder statesman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Morrison Olori, has felicitated with the founding leader and former governorship candidate of the APC in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, on his 67th birthday anniversary.
Chief Olori, a renowned businessman with chains of businesses in oil and gas, hospitality, real estate, and other sectors, also congratulated Emerhor’s wife, Mrs. Rita Emerhor, on her 60th birthday celebration.
The senior Ughelli palace chief described Olorogun Emerhor, a banker-turned-politician, as a great stabiliser of the APC, both in Delta State and at the national level.
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Ughelli, Delta State, the octogenarian business mogul stated that Emerhor’s sacrifice for the unity, growth, and peace of the party in the state has not gone unnoticed, saying that he is a true leader of the party in all ramifications.
The famous Chief Olori noted that the history of APC cannot be completely captured without Emerhor’s name being mentioned for being the first politician in the country to have contested an election on the platform of the APC.
He lauded Emerhor and his wife for their immense contribution to Evwreni Kingdom, Urhobo Nation, and Nigeria, stressing that the Emerhor family has been exemplary both in their private practice and in politics.
Olori praised Mrs. Rita Emerhor for being a strong support system to her husband and his business empire and commended her for her philanthropic gesture in her Evwreni town and other parts of the country.
“The Morrison Olori family rejoices with Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and his lovely wife, who clocks 60 years. Indeed, this is a milestone. Emerhor and his wife are a global couple, both in their professional careers and private life.
“From being a boardroom guru in the nation’s banking sector to politics, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor has shown great capacity as a manager of people and resources. As the founding leader of Delta APC, he nurtured and grew the party with his personal finances and efforts.
“Emerhor was also pivotal to restoring peace to Delta APC. He has continuously sacrificed his personal ambition and interest for the progress and unity of the party. The celebrants are also a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian business space.
“It’s my earnest prayer that God will bless and protect this ‘global couple’ as they continue to make remarkable contributions to society and those around them. On their birthdays, I wish them long life, good health, and peace,” Chief Olori’s statement partly read.
