Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated renowned scholar, elder statesman and former Minister of Information, Professor Sam Ejite Oyovbaire, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
Dafinone described the political scientist as one of Nigeria’s finest intellectuals whose contributions to nation-building continue to inspire generations, stressing that the celebrant is a blessing to Urhobo Nation and Nigeria at large.
In a statement on Tuesday, Delta Central lawmaker said Professor Oyovbaire’s life has been defined by intellectual excellence, principled leadership and an unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s democratic development, public administration and political evolution.
According to the senator, the respected academic has built an enduring legacy through his distinguished career in academia and public service, earning the admiration of Nigerians across generations.
Dafinone also commended the elder statesman’s unwavering commitment to the development of Delta State and the Okpe Kingdom, noting that his wisdom, integrity and moderation have remained invaluable in shaping public discourse and mentoring emerging leaders.
“Your life’s work has been defined by intellectual excellence, principled leadership and unwavering commitment to nation-building. Through your distinguished career in academia and public service, you have made profound contributions to Nigeria’s democratic evolution, public administration and political thought, leaving an enduring legacy that continues to inspire generations of Nigerians.
“Beyond your national service, your steadfast commitment to the advancement of Delta State and the development of the Okpe Kingdom reflects your enduring sense of duty to your people. Your voice of wisdom, integrity and moderation has remained invaluable in shaping public discourse and mentoring emerging leaders,” he said.
As Professor Oyovbaire marks another year, Senator Dafinone prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health, wisdom and strength upon the elder statesman.
