Delta COVID-19 Cases Hit 254, Records 12 Deaths, 63 Recoveries

Delta State on Saturday recorded 11 fresh cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.

The state now has 254 confirmed cases since the state first recorded her index case in March.

Delta now also ranked 13 in the chart of states infected by the virus in Nigeria.

According to the figures released by NCDC, a total of 63 patients have recovered from the disease and had been discharged home.

It said 12 patients have died from the infection while 179 patients are undergoing treatment at the various isolation/treatment centres across the state.

The state currently has four isolation/treatment centres at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DESULTH), Oghara; Central Hospital, Warri; Federal Medical Centre, Asaba; Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba and Asaba Specialist Hospital.

Asaba, Warri and Uvwie currently have the number of reported cases of the pandemic in the state.
