EFCC nabs singer, Naira Marley for glorifying ‘Yahoo Yahoo’

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested fast-rising singer, Naira Marley for interrogation over his comments glorying “Yahoo Yahoo Business.”

Naira Marley, whose real name is Afeez Fashola, was apprehended by officials of the commission attached to the Lagos office.

The singer who recently had a backlash with singer, Simi, for asking those into “Yahoo Yahoo” from buying his latest album, has been opening rooting for fraudsters on the social media.

Although, it was not clear the reason for his arrest, sources in the music industry claimed the musician was over his support for activities of internet fraudsters.

It could be recalled that Naira Marley has also had an altercation with music legend, Ruggedbaba for criticising him.

In furtherance of his support for “Yahoo Yahoo Boys”, the singer on Thursday released the visual to his banging single tilted ‘Am I A Yahoo Boy’ featuring Zlatan.

Meanwhile, some celebrities including Demgohearword have called for Naira Marley release saying, saying that he was ‘rooting’ for ‘Yahoo Boys’ because of his upcoming single which he released the video on Thursday.

EFCC has not released any statement regarding the singer’s arrest.
