PDP Wins All National Assembly Seats In Ebonyi

PDP Wins Presidency, All National Assembly Seats In Ebonyi

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared winner in all the nine National Assembly seats in Ebonyi state.

This result is coming even as the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubaka won 12 out of the 13 local government areas of the state.

APC won only in Ikwo local government area

The results were announced at the 3 senatorial zones of the state.

A former Governor of the state and incumbent senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Dr. Sam Egwu was re-elected while the Vice Chairman Senate Committee on Youth and Sports, Obinna Ogba emerged winner Ebonyi Central.

In Ebonyi south senatorial zone, the PDP candidate, Chief Michael Ama Nnachi polled a total of 103,751 votes to beat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prince Nweze Onu who scored 19, 663. 

Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) candidate Eze Igwe Ogbofia got 5, 805 votes to place third.

In Ohaozara, Onicha and Ivo federal constituency, Chief Livinus Makwe of PDP scored 68, 136 votes to beat Chief Ifeanyi Odii of the APC who got 10, 178 votes. Makwe is going to House of Reps for the first time

Result from Ezza North/Ishielu federal constituency, showed that Hon. Anayo Edwin Nwonu of the PDP secured 34,473 votes to beat his closest rival, Chief Michael Ifere of the APC who got 13,372 votes. Nwonu is going for the second time.

In Abakaliki/Izzi federal constituency, the member representing the zone, Hon. Sylvester Ogbaga polled a total of 40, 850 to beat his APC rival, Uchenna Nshii who got 21, 841 votes. Ogbaga will be returning
to the House of Representatives for the 4th time.

The member representing Afikpo North/South federal constituency, Hon. Iduma Igariwey scored a total of 28, 691 votes to defeat APC and ANN candidates, Hon. Maria Ude Nwachi and Tony Ekoh who polled 9, 969  and 8, 485 respectively to place second and third respectively.

The results of Ebonyi central house of representatives is been awaited but the PDP candidate Laz Ogbee is already celebrating against his APC closest rival comrd Chinedu Ogah.
