The Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday in Port Harcourt officially declared to contest for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 Presidential Elections.

Amaechi’s declaration is coming after weeks of intense rumour that the former governor of Rivers State is interested in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari as next President.

The ceremony was attended by Plateau State Governor State, Simon Lalong; Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Idris Wase; former National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; Senator Ali Ndume and host of other top APC chieftains.
