An irate police sergeant, Lukmon Akanbi, has been arrested for allegedly shooting a 39-year-old man, Ramon Adeniyi dead.
The incident occurred at Eko Atlantic in the Victoria Island area of Lagos on Thursday.
Akanbi’s arrest was ordered by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, when the incident was reported to his office.
The suspected killer cop with Force number 44840 was said to have shot the deceased while on patrol at about 4:20am on Thursday during routine patrol.
It was gathered that the deceased who was said to be returning from an outing was said to have been involved in a fracas with the suspect.
In the process, he pulled the trigger of his service pistol on the man and Mr Adeniyi died before help could come his way.
The command Public Relations Officer, DSP Elkana Bala, confirmed the incident.
