Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State

Governor Yahaya Bello has been declared winner of the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.

He emerged winner after a keenly contested primary held on Thursday in Lokoja, the state capital.

The governor, who is seeking a second term in office in the November election, polled 3,127 votes out of a total of 3,596 accredited delegates to emerged flag bearer of the APC.

Bello will represent the party in the November 16 governorship election.
