Governor Udom Emmanue has sacked Akwa Ibom state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Uwemedimo Nwoko, barely weeks after being made Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Nwoko was reappointed along with three others in the third cabinet rejigging by Udom since assumption of office in 2015.

In his stead, the Governor picked another SAN, Uko Essien Udom.

While swearing in the four newly appointed commissioners and five permanent secretaries at the banquet hall of the Governor’s Office on Monday, Odom charged them to put interest of the state first.

He advised them not to be deterred by criticisms from different quarters but to bring to bear their wealth of experience as expressed in their resume in contributing towards success of the Completion Agenda.

”We join all right thinking Akwa Ibom people to congratulate the new appointees and wish them success in their new offices,” the governor said.
