A former ex-militant leader and member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Mr Eris Paul, also known as ‘Gen. Ogunboss’, has berated Governor Seriake Dickson over alleged plot to stop the defection of some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
The ex-militant leader accused the Bayelsa governor of attempt to ridicule those who had concluded plans to leave PDP to the APC ahead of the November 16th, 2019 governorship elections in the state.
In a statement on Thursday, Ogunboss said Gov. Dickson was collecting photographs of the PDP leaders in a bit to blackmail them upon defection as unserious politicians who have no political value in the state.
According to him, prominent PDP leaders including governorship aspirants in the state had indicated intention to cross to the APC but were scared of the move by the state governor to blackmail them.
Ogunboss claimed that PDP stalwarts including Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, Hon. Stephen Diver and the former Chairman of the Ekeremor Local Government, Hon. Tolu Amatu, have been penned down to be rubbished by the governor.

He, however, urged the people of Bayelsa State to support the candidate of the APC, Mr David Lyon in the interest of the people of the state.
According to him, Bayelsans should consider the future of the state and vote wisely for the APC in order to stop the maladministration of the PDP in the state.
“Are you coming to build another 8 years of mischief, damage, evil & prankishness? These rogues & oppressors, rascal that are disturbed of personal disorder must be driven out of power at all means, by your votes.
“Think Bayelsa, think your future & your tomorrow, this whole thing I called “personality scam or disorder is embarrassing, shamelessly embarrassing, that is why a governor who lack all manner of conscience will come out openly to tell Bayelsans that he had spent 30 billion Naira to refurbish a 7.2 Kilometer uncompleted road.
“Beware of another Dickonism, drive him out by voting David Lyon & Degi. If you think you’re too small to make a difference, it mean, this generation is not for you, stay at home & allow those who are willing to build it”, he said.

Continuing, the ex-militant added, “On arrival, the governor insisted for handshakes and while someone was taking photos, minutes after, the pictures were all over the cyberspace. Don’t be surprised, if you hear another story or different reactions on the outcome these pictures flying on the Internet.
“I am very sure, the same scenario would have taken hold on Tolu Amatu’s handshake with the governor, because the picture circulated were circulated on the Internet a day after Tolu Amatu defected from the PDP to the APC”.
