The Delta State Government has called on indigenes of the state who graduated from the Nigerian Law School in the 2025 session to apply for the financial assistance approved by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, giving eligible beneficiaries one week to complete the application process.
The application window, according to the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, opened on July 23 and will close on July 29, 2026.
A public notice issued by the Board disclosed that 533 Delta State indigenes who completed the Nigerian Law School programme in the 2025 session are eligible to benefit from the governor’s intervention aimed at supporting newly qualified legal practitioners.
To access the financial assistance, applicants are required to submit their documents electronically to the Board within the stipulated deadline.
The Board listed the required documents as the applicant’s Nigerian Law School admission letter, Certificate of Call to the Bar, valid means of identification, Local Government of Origin identification and bank account details.
Beneficiaries are to scan and forward the documents to the Board’s official email address, dsbb@deltastate.gov.ng.
The Executive Secretary of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, urged all eligible graduates to comply with the application guidelines and submit the required documents before the deadline to avoid delays in processing their financial assistance.
Governor Oborevwori recently approved the disbursement of financial assistance to the 533 graduates as part of his administration’s commitment to human capital development under the MORE Agenda.
The intervention is designed to reduce the financial burden on newly qualified lawyers and support them as they begin their legal careers.
