Omo-Agege Celebrates Steve Sokoh At 70, Says He’s An Elder Statesman With Impeccable Integrity


 

The Obarisi of Urhoboland and former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has congratulated Chief Steve Sokoh, the Onanogharen of Udu Kingdom on his 70th birthday anniversary.

 

Omo-Agege in statement by his Media Adviser, Sunny Areh, described Chief Sokoh as a man of impeccable integrity and a highly respected leader, having served in many positions of high private and public responsibilities, including as a Transition Committee Chairman of Udu Local Government Council; Otota (Speaker) of the Forum of Presidents-General of Urhobo Kingdoms; President-General of the Union of Udu Communities (UUC), Udu Kingdom; and Member of Udu Traditional Council.

 

He said Chief Sokoh is “An oracle of uncommon wisdom and a major stabilizing force in the affairs of the Urhobo Nation and our State.

 

“At this auspicious moment in the wonderfully blessed life of High Chief Sokoh, I pay special tribute to his sterling achievements as a devoted, courageous and fair leader and consistent philanthropist who has earned a permanent place of honour and pride amongst our people. His immeasurable strength of character in always providing invaluable guidance required to overcome complex societal challenges for the collective good of all is duly noted and appreciated.
