The Founder and Senior Pastor of Gihon City Bible Church, Warri, Rev. Dr. Lawrence O. Agbirekomi, on Sunday declared that the challenges facing many believers have come to an end through the power of resurrection.
He made the declaration while delivering a sermon titled, “The Siege Is Over By The Power Of Resurrection,” anchored on Philippians 3:10.
The cleric described a siege as a state of restriction and stagnation, likening it to a military strategy where a territory is surrounded and cut off from essential supplies until surrender.
He said such conditions keep individuals trapped in one position, preventing progress.
Agbirekomi noted that siege-like situations manifest in business, finances, education, career, marriage, ministry and health.
According to him, these challenges are designed to weaken faith and push people to give up.
He urged believers to focus on God rather than their circumstances.
Citing Matthew 23:23, the cleric warned that neglecting tithing could lead to financial instability.
He added that some persistent struggles are linked to faulty family foundations, which impose limitations on individuals.
Agbirekomi, however, expressed confidence that divine intervention would end such conditions.
“The siege is over,” he declared.
