The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that electoral materials meant for Ward 8 of Okpe Isoko in Isoko North Local Government Area were hijacked by hoodlums suspected to be of the opposition.
APC’s Publicity Secretary, Barr. Sylvester Imonina, stated this in a message made available to our correspondent on Saturday evening.
Imonina told WARRI TODAY that the hijacked materials were taken to a bush in the area where INEC ad hoc staff, security operatives and the thugs reportedly thumb-printed the materials.
According to him, they had already submitted a petition to the Electoral Officer (EO) in charge of Isoko for the cancellation of the ward’s result
“These are pictures of PDP members, INEC ad-hoc staff and security personnel who made away with election materials of Ward 8, Okpe Isoko in Isoko North LGA, thumbprinting ballot papers and filling results.
“Though, a petition had been submitted to the E.O. in charge of Isoko North, by APC, Isoko North LGA Chairman. Kindly use ur contacts to have same cancelled”, the Delta APC chairman stated.
