Rivers’ Resident In Search Of Money For Eye Surgery Wins N3m In Fidelity Bank Promo

Helpless Ibenebu Kingsley almost lost all hopes in his quest to raise money to embark on a critical surgery in one of his eyes until luck shone on him on Tuesday when he emerged as one of the winners during the Fidelity Bank’s Get Alert In Millions (GAIM) Season3 Promo grand finale held in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Kingsley, who said he was almost giving up on the surgery since he could not raised the need money for the surgery after he had tried all he could, jumped into dancing immediately he was announced as a winner of N3million cash during the event.

Although, he was not the only lucky winner at the event, his testimony almost left everyone in tears, claiming that he have more than what was needed for the surgery.

John Poubo, another Rivers indigene, carted home the N10Million grand prize as lucky winners were announced and their accounts credited at the final prize presentation in Port Harcourt.

Elated Kingsley said, “Many will not understand how I am feeling right now. I am due in less than a week for a major eye surgery to correct a blindness threatening problem with my left eye. Just days back, I was asking a friend, you know I will go for a surgery soon and I don’t have the money to pay and don’t know where to find it.

“In this state of confusion, I only could say, God I need a destiny helper and Fidelity surprised me as the destiny helper. Now I am fully prepared for my eye surgery. All fear of cash to fund the bill is gone. I will forever remain faithful to Fidelity in my banking.”

Nnamdi Okonkwo, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Fidelity, Fidelity Bank, represented by Aku Odikemelu, Executive Director, South, said the idea of GAIM and Fidelity promos, 8 so far, was to stimulate culture of saving among Nigerians and deepen customers’ confidence in Fidelity as a bank which keeps it word.

Other winners outside Kingsley and Poubo include Okoye Ndubisi from Auchi, Edo state and Dokpesi Nasiru form Auchi (Edo) who won N2Million each, Ede Nwodo who won N1Million as well as others who various consolation prizes.
