Former President Goodluck Jonathan has met with some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) including the immediate past President of the Senate, Dr.Bukola Saraki in Abuja.
Saraki, who led the PDP Reconciliation & Strategy Committee on the visit, disclosed this on TUesday on his verified Twitter handle.
According to the former Senate President, the visit was part of ongoing reconciliation efforts of the party with key stakeholders across the country.
In a 19 seconds video clip posted by Saraki, former President Jonathan was seen exchanging pleasantries with his guests.
Saraki, a former two-term governor of Kwara State, tweeted, “As part of our efforts to listen to the concerns of key stakeholders across our great party, this afternoon, the @OfficialPDPNig Reconciliation & Strategy Committee is meeting with our immediate past President, H.E. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (@GEJonathan).”
The visit is coming on the heels of rumour that the former President is considering running for the 2023 Presidential elections on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Some APC leaders led by the Chairman Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, had also visited Jonathan in his Abuja residence.
