As the people of Ibadan in Oyo State mourn the passage of the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, his successor to the throne has been unveiled.
The Balogun of Ibadanland, Owolabi Olakulehin, will be crowned as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland following the passage of Oba Balogun.
Olakulehin is a former member of the House of Representatives in the Third Republic.
He is the head of the Balogun ruling house that is zoned to produce the new Olubadan.
Olakulehin is believed to be older than the late royal father who passed on at 81 at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
He hails from Ita Baale in Ibadan North East Local Government and has been a vocal voice within the Olubadan-In-Council in the last 10 years.
Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Thursday night announced the passage of Oba Balogun who passed on after a brief illness.
